Special Education and Training Center has been recognized as a resource center and is also listed in the UNESCO directory. As a resource center, we offer training to individuals and teachers who wish to work with children with special needs. A number of organizations e.g. Air Force, Navy and Army have sent their teachers for training in this institution. Training and internship is offered to students from various universities e.g. University of Management and Technology, University of Central Punjab, Riphah University, Punjab University and from departments like Social Welfare, Department of Special Education and various medical colleges.
Recently, a faculty of intellectual disability has been established, in which experts offer teaching and supervision of trainees and hold workshops and seminars at regular intervals. Experts from the UK and the USA also participate in these teaching activities.
In addition, Special Education and Training Center provided training to teachers from various institutions such as Naval Headquarters (Islamabad), Army Public School (Gujranwala), which they then used a basis for laying the foundations for special education schools in their areas.
